Merry Malaysia: Legoland

Get those creative juices flowing as you assemble, build and construct every colorful bricks in this land of Lego.

The world’s most popular construction toy has finally come to Asia. And I’m not saying that it has just been available in the market.  Malaysia has been so far the first country in the continent to hold this kind of international theme park.

So, for all those Lego junkies, immerse yourself at the photos below. 🙂

As you enter, you’ll be welcome by a big, spacious souvenir shop christened as The Big Store, it offers a wide selection of Legoland merchandise like toys, bags, DVDs and books. Just get your wallets ready because the prices are a bit costly. Beside the store is the Information Center, where in you can ask for a map to maximize your Lego experience.

Just like other theme parks, Legoland is divided into different attractions to cater every type of visitor. Be it kids, family, teenage couple, or just some curious folk, Legoland has everything in store.


Imagination has no limit as kids create their own Lego models in the Build + Test creativity corner.

For adults, you can try the LEGO Studio, a 4D theater that offers a vast number of engaging shows. You can check their website for the time and schedule.




Everything here coincides with the theme. Bounty of humongous lego-made animals emerges in every corner. Just like in our trip to Hello Kitty Town, we wouldn’t pass the chance to have our photo taken on these precious creations.






Plethora of rides great for the whole family were stationed in every corner, from Beetle Bounce to Pharaoh’s Revenge to the Lost Kingdom, you’ll be daze at the same time thrilled on which ride you should try first.

My favorite part is the Miniland.  It is a recreation of Asia’s famous landmarks made by Lego.  Every single detail was crafted in perfection. It’s like getting to see the whole of Southeast Asia in one setting.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the chosen replica of my dear country. This was something special. Apart from I am from the Philippines, I am also an Ilocana. 🙂

Since it’s Christmas season, they put up a  9-metre Christmas Tree, which is of course, made up of Lego and were bedecked with cute Christmas decors.

I admit I’ve been a Lego kid too, my mornings during my childhood years were usually spent building blocks with my sisters and my daddy. These theme park has relive those memories and I was more than glad they were able to conceive such a bright idea. It can be boring for some but I appreciate every attraction they have brought into existence.

In this modern world where tablets and mobile phones rule, kids nowadays prefers online games than those tangible toys. I have nothing against them and they can choose whatever they want to play with, but for me, I’m just thankful that I was born to the era where technology doesn’t really matter and get to experience the simplicity of life.

From the North-South Highway / Senai Airport – Take Tuas / Nusajaya / Pontian / Tanjung Pelepas EXIT 253 > Proceed to Nusajaya EXIT 312 > LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort signage will lead you to the destination.

From Johor Bahru / CIQ / Singapore via the Coastal Highway – From Danga Bay, proceed straight via the Coastal Highway > Proceed all the way to Nusajaya > LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort will be seen before reaching Kota Iskandar.
