Merry Malaysia: Where to Shop?

It was Christmas season when we visited Malaysia and some of their shopping malls were beautifully adorned with colorful and sparkling ornaments. However for some, since they don’t celebrate Christmas, it is as plain just like an ordinary day. But, that’s the reason as well why we visited this Muslim country, to know more about their culture at this time of the year.

So, where to shop?



Originally used as a wet market, Central Market has been developed and has transpired to a modernistic, vibrant approach with still a touch of their old tradition.



It is a sanctuary of art galleries, local goodies, chain of restaurants, and souvenirs for foreigners who want to take a piece of Malaysia with them. Great bargains can be found lurking in every corner as well. The range of prices here are reasonable enough and there are plethora of goods to choose from.

There is a taxi stand located in front of Central Market, Kuala Lumpur.

A 5-minute walk from Chinatown and Petaling Street.

Apart from being home to the stunning Petronas Twin Towers, Malaysia also boasts that they have emerged as one of the favored shopping haven in Asia. The reasons are as varied and compelling just like shopping.
