Capturing postcard-pretty scenery in every angle. Panglao Island is a piece of heaven.
Fine white sand stretching on the shore. Crystal clear waters. Canopy of green trees. Friendly locals. Everything in this place is simply divine.
Coming from our Cebu trip, we boarded a Supercat ferry going to Bohol . It’s a 2-hour boat ride and the most convenient way of going to this popular province in Visayas. From the dock, since we booked for a tour package, hotel transfers were already arranged and we haven’t experienced any hassle of going to the hotel of our choice.

It was way past noon when we arrived in the resort and the afternoon sun was about to set when we reached the shore to take a quick dip. It was low tide and our feet were the only part of our bodies that touches the water. Surprisingly, there were still a lot of people who were too eager to swim.
Including me. I raced through the shallow waters and found a good spot wherein I can somehow immersed myself and at the very least get a good bath. 🙂 Can you guess how far it is from the shore?
We waked up early the next day to witness the glorious sunrise soaring right before our very eyes. The silhouette of the boats were a perfect contrast to the brightness of the morning sun. The view is impeccable.
When the sun has completely risen up, the bluest of the skies appeared opposite the fine white sand that has been lying just below the sturdy coconut trees. Nature has just revealed its beauty with this stunning seascape.
The water was so clear that you can even see the smallest detail of what lies beneath.
Stationed in the beautiful Panglao Island itself, we had an overnight stay in Dumaluan Beach Resort. Apart from the reasonable rates of their spacious rooms, they also offer tour packages around Bohol which is way convenient especially that there were no public transportation going around the major attractions.
They offer good food too but a little bit pricey. At night, the resort plays wonderful music by a live band. Perfect to cap off a cozy evening while enjoying the company of old friends and the cold breeze brought by the nearby sea.
Panglao Island is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines, even the world. And I am more than glad that my country has been blessed with this chunk of paradise. 🙂
Dumaluan Beach Resort is located at Panglao Island, Bohol, Philippines. Please visit their website for more information.
