Savor Hong Kong: The Peak and Madame Tussauds

Get to see Hong Kong’s panoramic view on top and meet Hollywood’s biggest stars.

Before setting our feet to Disneyland, we managed to squeeze in our itinerary the two most notable attractions here in Hong Kong: The Peak and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.

We are more used to the train compared to the buses here so we take the route via MTR. You’ll be needing to walk a little further to reach the Peak Tram, the carrier that will take you to the Peak Tower.

On our way, we passed by a park and we’re ableΒ  to see up close, some of the tallest buildings in Hong Kong. We are more than ready to snatch our camera and took some photos.

While waiting for the tram to arrive, we make use of the time by taking a glimpse on the memorabilia at the Peak Tram Historical Gallery.

The exhibit allows guests to revisit Hong Kong during the 19th and 21st century. It showcases more than 200 mementos in display.

Since we are in an elevated land, the air here is so cold and windy, too. There are few people strolling around the place. Some are tourists, while some are locals walking casually with their dogs.

How to get here:
Riding The Peak Tram is the quickest and most scenic way to arrive at The Peak. The Peak Tram Lower Terminus is easily reachable by foot from the MTR in Central or by public transportation. (courtesy of The Peak website)

Victoria Peak

Hailing a taxi cab, we were able to reach the Victoria Peak, the highest mountain on the island. We found out that most of the visitors went here to take their morning runs or just to meditate.

We are running out of time so we just took a breath of fresh air and rushed to the Peak Tower again to visit Madame Tussauds wax museum.

Madame Tussauds wax museum, is a collection of wax figures of different celebrities and famous personalities. It is conveniently located at the Peak Tower so we also made a quick stop.

We took a lot of photos, but here are some big names we saw inside the gallery:
